Cert. Ed., BSc. (Hons), MSc.,
C. Psychol., AFBPsS.

(An English national with fluent French)

After 13 years of teaching in LEA maintained schools,
I qualified as an educational psychologist in 1986.
After 25 years of full time continuous employment
as such by one of the London Boroughs,
I am now in my eighth year of private practice.

I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society,
a member of the Division of Education and Child Psychology
and a Chartered Educational Psychologist.
I am registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council
I have an Enhanced Disclosure CRB check certificate.

I specialise in educational problems with pupils and students from 6 - 16 years old.

Assessment is usually carried out using the full 10 core tests of the
Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-V uk (published in December 2016)
and full literacy or numeracy tests WIAT-III uk (published in August 2017) to evaluate levels of specific need.

Additionally, for people aged 17 plus, I can carry out an abbreviated (and less costly)
psychometric assessment (WASI-II) for potential access arrangements
but this is
not sufficient for the DSA requirements for extra funding.

If speed of writing is an issue, I can carry out a Detailed Assessment of Speed of Handwriting assessment (DASH/ DASH 17+)

This may facilitate extra provision in further and higher education or employment.
Please check out your exam board requirements in relation to your particular educational establishment
for assessment materials approved of for problems with literacy or numeracy.

My extensive experience includes full assessment of underlying abilities in relation to
dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, specific language disorder, specific learning difficulties,
access arrangements for public examinations
and Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tribunals both as
as an independent psychologist and equally "from the other side"
as the Local Education Authority Tribunal Officer.

As a private, independent psychologist, I can be available at very
short notice to give telephone or e-mail advice and an unbiased opinion about your child.

As well as providing psychological advice,
I can advise on SEN procedures and SEN Tribunals.
I can also help to clarify previous educational psychology reports.

I am based in the South East of the UK, in London BR7
on the Greenwich/Bromley/Kent border, 15 minutes from
the Dartford Tunnel/QE2 Bridge Crossing of the M25,
but I am prepared to travel.

Please contact me for very prompt
telephone and e-mail advice and an independent opinion,
a personal, bespoke service
from a private chartered educational psychologist.
